On Friday 26th March 2010, the 11 winners of The AIPP Awards 2010 will be announced at a ceremony in London.

Launched successfully in 2008, these independent awards focus on the customer service offered by agents and developers, rewarding excellence and professionalism whilst setting new benchmarks for the international property market.

Uniquely, the AIPP Awards are not run for profit and, in fact, it is free to enter. We want an awards programme everyone enters, making them popular, accessible and a genuine reflection of the best in the market. Making it free removes any disincentive from submitting an entry.

For the judging criteria, we put ourselves in the position of the international property buyer, posing the question: “What do I want to see in an agent or a developer to reassure me that they will deliver?” Questions facing entrants cover the due diligence processes in advance of selling, the transparency of the marketing and the successful delivery of promised service to clients.

We are pleased that Christopher Hamer, the Ombudsman for Estate Agents, has again agreed to be Chair of the independent judging panel. “In my view awards like this contribute to higher standards of business operation and most importantly, customer service,” says Hamer. Additionally, the Awards have media partnerships with Rightmove Overseas as well as A Place in the Sun and OPP magazines.

Casacalida Properties won two AIPP Awards at the inaugural event. Managing Director Steve Long says, “As a direct result of winning the awards we gained overnight respect in our market place. Banks and major developers have approached us to collaborate with them in many countries.”

Entry is exclusive to AIPP Members. Companies who are not yet Members of AIPP can apply for membership now, and become eligible to compete for an AIPP Award.

Finally, the timing of the Awards has been carefully considered to help companies submit entries. A deadline at the end of January means companies have the relatively quiet months of December and January to prepare their submissions. From sensible timing and media support to free entry, we’re doing all we can to make the AIPP Awards as accessible and successful as possible.
