‘50% of consumers know the AIPP’

The Autumn 2007 exhibition season kicked off with the Property Investor Show at London’s Excel. On the AIPP stand, staff reported that about half of all visitors to whom they spoke were already aware of AIPP and had some understanding of the benefits of buying with a Member. 
 

‘The staff might be slightly enthusiastic with the 50% figure,’ smiled AIPP Chief Executive, Paul Owen, ‘but there’s little doubt that far more people now understand the benefits of buying with an AIPP Member. When you have Members like Someplace Else, who fly a balloon high above their stand with an AIPP Member logo of about 2 metres high, you’re bound to have more clients seeing the logo!’
 
‘Once a client understands the professional commitment of a Member and the consumer recourse should any problems occur, they’re usually convinced that buying with a Member is a good route to take.’
 
The Property Investor show was the first since AIPP’s significant increase in Member numbers over the summer. In the four months of May to August, the Association received 135 applications for membership.
 
‘Publication of our Members Directory, released in September, provides a call to arms for all those planning to join with an application form half filled in!’ explained Owen. ‘With 70,000 copies distributed through A Place in the Sun magazine and the Irish Property Buyer, it will further raise the consumer awareness of our Members. Another 10,000 copies will be handed out throughout the year at exhibitions, seminars and through the post.’
 
The next show at which the AIPP has a stand is Viva Italia at Olympia on Friday 5th – Sunday 7th October 2007.
