AIPP Advisory Board Meeting – April 2016
AIPP first Advisory Board Meeting of 2016 took place last Wednesday, 13th April, at our offices in Westminster attending, mainly, by member agents. It saw the genesis of the ‘Agent Innovation Lab’, a new AIPP project aimed at identifying, understanding and tackling common cross-border issues faced by member agents. The discussion covered many points, but it was agreed that the most pressing issues for agents are that of product due-diligence and differentiation in a highly competitive market.
The issue of developers’ due-diligence, especially for small and medium size agents with limited resources, is a pressing one. The Advisory Board discussed how support in this area could present a growth opportunity for agents - also crucial for agents’ reputation.
Another common concern for agents is how to stand out in the market place: guidance in areas such as data managing and marketing systems to office operations would be very welcome by agents who would then be able to focus more on the value-added side of the business.
Other ideas, ranging from training and education to potential threats to the role of agents, were discussed and the AIPP is grateful for the focus and input of the Advisory Board.
