AIPP now independent of NFOPP
Mark Hayward, MD NAEA & Peter Robinson MD AIPP having concluded a strategic review of the AIPP business, have agreed on the divergence of AIPP away from NFoPP (National Federation of Property Professionals).
Hayward commented; “NFoPP remain a keen supporter of the valuable work done by the AIPP to both educate and protect members of the British public buying abroad and improve trade best practice. We will continue to serve our members interests by focussing on interacting globally with regulated national membership organisations with whom we have established a strong working relationship. AIPP will continue to operate out of our London offices in Westminster, and I look forward to seeing AIPP develop into new digital areas and markets with strong regional partners, I wish them well”.
AIPP will remain a not-for-profit trade association serving its international property trade members, educating and protecting UK buyers of a foreign property. Robinson commented: "AIPP has a more varied focus than the rest of the NFoPP portfolio. Whilst our members include UK agents, we also count foreign agents, developers, banks, lawyers and other trade professionals - in 28 countries around the world - in our membership. This move away from NFoPP allows us to concentrate more closely on our members particular international needs. We are growing strongly - we saw a 62% increase in new members last year and have some very exciting plans now coming to fruition including a new digital strategy, free legal advice for buyers & owners of a foreign property, new free buyers guides, a growing relationship with foreign banks, and UK MP’s. A new sponsorship agreement concluded with an internationally-focused digital partner will shortly give us the know-how & funding required to develop membership & consumer services into the digital age. ”
