AIPP starts search for new Chief Executive
The Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) has started its search for a new Chief Executive as Paul Owen will be leaving to take up a new post.
Chair of AIPP, Lindsay Hopkins, said, “Every company has to be ready to replace key staff and the Association is no different. Our recruitment panel has already started the search for our next Chief Executive and we look forward to introducing the new face soon. In the meantime, you’ll notice no differences as the AIPP team continues to deliver a service to both Members and the public.”
When Owen took up the post in January 2006, his brief was to get the Association started and it launched with 82 Founder Members on March 10th. Since then, it has built its Member numbers well beyond 300 companies and introduced several new initiatives with a particular focus on raising awareness of the AIPP with consumers:Buying Overseas Property Safely, AIPP’s annual consumer guide has been published every year and now reaches 1 million+ readers; the exclusive AIPP Exhibition Zone at Property Investor Show in 2008 and 2009 will this year become a fixture at both the Spring and Autumn shows; and, of course, the AIPP Awards 2008 were a great success with 2010’s ceremony taking place in March at A Place in the Sun exhibition in front of a live consumer audience.
“I have loved this job and feel honoured to have had the chance to play a small part in the AIPP’s success,” enthused Owen, “I can’t wait to see the next Chief Executive take the Association onwards and upwards to new heights. I still passionately believe that the market needs the standards we’re setting. I’m also convinced that the AIPP will, through the commitment of its Members and hard work of the team, make the international property market a safer place to buy and a better place to work.”
Parties interested in applying for the role should contact the AIPP immediately by email, phone or post. The closing date for applications is Friday 12th February 2010.
