As well as these winners, the Judging Panel also noted two entries as 'Highly Commended'. These were to Colordarcy in the Most Outstanding Example of Customer Service category, and to SPC Overseas Realty in Best Small Agent – Single Country category.

Our judges were put in the position of the international property buyer, posing the question: “What do I want to see in a company to reassure me that they will deliver?” Questions facing entrants included the due diligence processes in advance of selling, the transparency of the marketing and the successful delivery of promised service to clients.

We were very pleased to add that Christopher Hamer, the Ombudsman for Estate Agents, had again agreed to be Chair of the independent judging panel. Judging took place on 21st March and the judging panel were:

Christopher Hamer, The Property Ombudsman – Chair
Peter Esders, Lawyer, Judicare
Shameem Golamy, Head of Overseas Sales, Rightmove Overseas
Liz Rowlinson, Editor, A Place in the Sun
Xavier Wiggins, Director, OPP Media
Ayse Ozcan, Managing Director, Acacia International
Peter Robinson, Intelligent Partnership

A big thank you to all entrants, to the Judging Panel, and also to Barrasford & Bird Worldwide for their generous sponsorship of the Conference and Awards.

What our previous Entrants and Award winners say...

For us, the AIPP Awards are all about continuing to raise standards in the property investment industry. This is something we at Colordarcy are equally passionate about. Entering the AIPP Awards each year provides us with an invaluable opportunity to receive external feedback from the judges. This helps us identify the areas where we are doing well and, just as importantly, areas where we need to keep improving as a business.

We are extremely proud to have won several AIPP Awards over the years and the trust this builds with our clients has had a direct impact on at least 20% of sales. Being part of the AIPP awards has given Colordarcy a massive return on investment.

Loxley McKenzie, Colordarcy

As a full member and committed advocate of the goals of the AIPP and the confidence it brings to members’ clients, HighGround are delighted to recommend the AIPP Annual Awards as a powerful way of demonstrating that commitment in a highly visible fashion. Many clients tell us that AIPP membership and recognition has been a key driver in their decision to work with us. The industry recognition that success in the AIPP awards brings has served to reinforce that message significantly. Furthermore, we benefit from valuable expert feedback from our award submissions which we have acted upon to make our client relationships even better.

Graham Turrell, Highground Property

'TM Real Estate Group saw the AIPP Awards as a great way of giving confidence to wary buyers about our properties. We sell a lot of "off-plan" properties, right at a time when the press was full of horror stories on the Costas, where clients had paid large sums of money for properties which were either illegal or never going to be built.

To address this, we entered the AIPP Awards and won Best Developer Western Europe three years running, adding another bow to our company and giving any client the confidence necessary to contact us knowing that we will deliver what we promise.

Dean McCartney, TM Real Estate Group

The AIPP Awards are tough to win but worth entering as they carry enormous credibility. This year there were only ten winners, being one of them, which makes us part of a select group of élite property professionals - something we are justifiably proud of. As a non-profit organization, AIPP helps to police the international property market making it a safer place to buy and a better place to work. The judges look at our due diligence, customer service and transparency when dealing with clients. Gaining recognition from a serious body such as AIPP means a lot more than other perhaps less convincing awards on the circuit.
